PEUGEOT LOW-FLOOR LUTON VAN
That has enabled Peugeot to offer a Low-floor Luton body in the Built for Business conversions range. A lower floor means that a tail lift simply isn’t needed because the rear loading height is low enough without one.
Another advantage of the Low-Floor Luton is that the low floor vans have increased load volume. At 22m3, the Low-Floor Luton offers the greatest body capacity in the Peugeot Boxer range including the Built for Business conversions.
Like the Peugeot Luton van and Curtainside models in the Built for Business range, this low floor van is fitted with an aerodynamic Luton pod above the cab, which not only increases the storage capacity of the body, but also improves the vehicle’s aerodynamics by smoothing the air flow above the cab and around the front of the body.
The Low-Floor Luton van’s body is constructed from high-quality GRP panels offering high-strength, lightweight construction. Birch plywood with a non-slip finish is used for the floor. A lightweight body panel option can increase the standard payload by around 120kg. An alloy kick strip helps to protect the front bulkhead from damage. Both body sides are equipped with load lock strips for load security. At the rear, the standard closure is a pair of flush-fitting barn doors, which will open to 270 degrees. A lightweight roller shutter is available as an option. The body is fitted with external marker lights as standard.
Payload for the standard Low-Floor Luton is 1,050kg*, while the load floor measures 4,080mm long.
Like all models in the Built for Business conversions range, the Low-Floor Luton comes equipped with manual air conditioning for the cab, a heavy-duty battery and extended wiring at the rear of the vehicle. Optional equipment includes a lightweight alloy loading ramp, steps and grab handles and four lashing points in the floor in addition to the load locking strips along the body sides. The driver’s seat is adjustable for rake, reach and height and includes a lumbar adjustment and arm rest. A dual passenger seat is standard equipment.
Low-Floor Peugeot Luton vans have the option of including Grip Control traction enhancement and a speed limiter. Grip control offers driver-selectable mode settings to improve traction in a variety of conditions including snow, mud and sand.
The Built for Business Low-Floor Luton body is finished in white and there is a range of five solid colours and two metallic colours available for the cab.
