PEUGEOT LUTON VAN
It makes these bodies in the Boxer Built for Business conversions range highly suitable for palletised loads and other bulky but comparatively lightweight freight that needs to be protected from the variable British weather.
Luton bodies are fitted on the vehicle chassis behind the cab, but also make use of the space above the cab, by extending the load space over it. This provides additional storage space for smaller items.
Traditionally, the Luton space was squared off over the cab, but all Built for Business Luton bodies are equipped with an aerodynamic pod over the cab to ensure smooth airflow at the front of the vehicle, helping to keep fuel consumption as low as possible.
Built for Business Luton bodies are constructed from lightweight, robust composite panels on a galvanised steel and aluminium frame, designed to provide a long working life while maximising payload capacity. Payload can be increased by around 80kgs by selecting the optional lightweight construction available with all Built for Business Lutons.
A protective kick strip fitted to the front bulkhead at floor level helps to protect the panel from accidental damage. Loads can be kept securely in place using the standard fit load securing systems. Load locking strip and tie rails fitted at set heights on the body sides give a range of load securing options. The robust birch plywood flooring provides a durable base that can be easily replaced if damaged.
The standard rear closure is provided by a lightweight alloy roller shutter door with locking handle. Other standard equipment includes an LED interior light, providing bright illumination with minimum power drain and plastic wheel arch fittings with spray suppression mud flaps. External marker lights are also standard equipment.
Options include a 500kg capacity tail lift and rear barn doors in place of the standard roller shutter door. Additional load securing equipment is also available include additional load lock tracks, tie rails and load lashing rings.
The Built for Business Luton range offers two variants based on the Boxer L3 and L4 single cab. The longer L4 models provide a high-volume body offering up to 20m3 of load space. With standard construction, payload spans 979kg* to 1,147kg*.
